GKA Kite-Surf World Championship 2020 European Dates
This has to be our favourite sports event of the year! The GKA Kite-surf World Cup started off in February in Sal/Cap Verde. With prize money sitting at 30.000 €, the winners James Carew (men) and Ines Correia (women) were well pleased with how the season started for them. Further disciplines include Freestyle and Youth Freestyle, where contests are taking place throughout August, September and October in El Gouna/Edypt, Tarifa/Spain, Sicily/Italy, Saint-Pierre La-Mer/France and Neom/Saudi Aarabia.
The next Freestyle event is planned for Tarifa in October and the last Kite-Surf event in Europe will take place in Dakhla/Morocco, before the circuit moves on to Brazil and Saudi Arabia. Tarifa, is simply a fantastic location for this tournament, surfing in the waters of the Atlantic, before you hit the Strait of Gibraltar. The African continent is a stones throw away and the view of Morocco’s beaches is to-die-for. Watching this sport is infectious, so have fun checking out the video to catch the vibe and just how much fun it is to be a spectator, and in such great locations as well.
