London – Royal Opera House Season 2023/24

The new season starts on 11 September with Das Rheingold, being the first chapter of Wagner’s Ring Cycle under conductor Antonio Pappano! Directed by Barrie Kosky, this bold, new production promises to be spectacular indeed! Running until 29 Sept, you can look forward to Verdi’s opera La Forza del Destino from 19 Sept – 9 Oct and Donizetti’s witty and intoxicating comedy L’Elisir d’Amore from 22 Sept – 10 Oct in a much-loved staged production by Laurent Pelly. Amsterdam – Dutch National Opera & Ballet Season 2023/24

This season’s programme includes the staging of opera classics such as Lohengrin, Die Zauberflöte, Agrippina and La Traviata, but also the much awaited opera & ballet performance, combining Stravinsky’s Oedipus Rex and Samy Moussa’s world premiere of Antigone! This brand-new production by top British choreographer Wayne MacGregor brings together the worlds of classic tragedy, modern dance and music from the 20th & 21st centuries.
