DJ Patrick Topping

Having only just last month been announced as the latest act for the new Virgin Money Unity Arena, it’s safe to say that things are going well for Newcastle born DJ Patrick Topping as industry acclaim and his popularity both continue to grow.

Having built up his dedicated fanbase with his residency at Jack Jones’ legendary Paradise parties in the iconic Ibiza venue DC-10, Patrick’s catalogue of releases and remixes already has famous names such as Booka Shade and Calvin Harris listed.

Patrick started his DJ career playing gigs in his hometown of Newcastle at the club night formally known as Motion and Digital, he’s since gone on to play at clubs and festival all over the world from Awakening in The Netherlands and Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium to the Winter Music Conference in Miami Florida! As with most DJs, Patrick has an insatiable appetite for not only growing his fanbase and DJ experience but also for diversifying. So, it’s no surprise that in early 2019 he started his own label, TRICK, releasing Watch What Your Doing. In addition to this, Patrick also continues to have close ties with independent dance label Hot Creations, which was co-founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss.

TA-DAH.TV caught up with him during Snowbombing at Mayrhofen, where Claudia Peifer turned up, mic in hand, to find out that he had never been to a ski resort before and how much fun it’s been for him playing at the infamous Brücknstadl – a dance barn of the finest – amongst other high altitude venues at the festival.

Already recognised as one of the key players in the UK house and techno scene, Patrick has received industry recognition in the form of numerous industry awards such as a DJ MAG “Best of British” award, three Resident Adviser DJ awards, and even landing a Mixmag cover.

As Patrick’s career continues to grow, you’ll be sure to come across one of his legendary live sets or iconic remixes at some point (and if you don’t you’ll be missing out!). Keep an eye out below to be the first to find out about his latest appearances as Patrick continues to announce new sets regularly, with appearances at some of the biggest venues and events in the world.

cousn – Exclusive interview

Ohhh, they are such good value! We had huge fun interviewing DJ duo Alfie & Billy Goffie, when we caught up with them in London. The Bristol-based boys were still on a massive high, having just come off their UK arena tour with Fatboy Slim, featuring alongside big-name Eats Everything in the line-up for this hugely successful tour. Claudia Peifer’s chat with them, at a quiet, hidden square in Soho, is just hilarious. Well, it was quiet until an undercover police operation by plain-clothed officers, making an arrest at a nearby building, shook the whole thing up a bit – to be honest: you couldn’t have set a better scene for an undercover interview.
Chatting to them, they’re honest, frank and funny, which reflects their music style to a Tee. Having been raised around music all their lives, these two clearly have an understanding of what makes a sick beat work and how to get a crowd going, when they’re behind the decks. They are brilliant music writers and producers too and cannot wait to actually find the time to get behind their kit in order to create more music and amplify their catalogue. This interview reveals it all: how they live together, write together, produce together and co-exist (note the fridge-story) on their skyward journey. Watch it now to get to know them…

Alfie & Billy Goffie from Bristol got together when they were just 16, when they realised that they loved he same style of music. Coming from highly musical backgrounds, they wanted to feed their drive to create their own groovy dance sound, hence cousn was born in 2013.

The dynamic dance duo have since been super busy: creating their own music library to an insane extent in a relatively short time was at the top of the list! Producing new tracks to define their unique sound was of the essence, which is best described as a crazy and eclectic mix of electronic music, house, disco, breakbeat, acid and even a bit of punk thrown in for good measure.

Playing mainly their own music is keeping the boys original and authentic as an act. It didn’t take much time for the old guard to notice them, and they’ve had a proper break on the live circuit, when Fatboy Slim invited them on a UK arena tour, alongside Eats Everything. That was just a taster for what’s to come…

Their raw energy and brilliant humour shows in their music, and their exactly the same live. Having played at the biggest clubs in the UK, from Manchester’s The Warehouse Project to Bristol’s motion and London’s Printworks, they’ve also rocked the stages at Glastonbury, Secret Garden, Bestival and Wilderness festivals. Their DC-10 debut in Ibiza was also a big deal.

On UK radio they had huge support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, as well as Jaguar, who regularly praised their tracks on their BBC Radio1 shows. They were definitely getting noticed and so it wasn’t too long until they signed their first record deal with The Other Songs through a publishing joint-venture with Kobalt. Deal done, they went into overdrive. Often described as ‘modern rockstars’ of the DJ booth, their career went skywards, including writing music for commercials like a vodka brand.

Apart from the fact that these two are actually super nice guys and completely approachable, here at TA-DAH.TV, we’ve watched them grow over the years and are still in love with their infectious beats. Catch them at their regular Famly Connection club nights at London’s Bonkers Bar to sample their vibe.

DJ Eats Everything

Eats Everything is a household name in the house and techno sub-genres of EDM, with a global reputation dating back to his breakthrough in 2011. Daniel Pearce (known on stage as Eats Everything) came to prominence with the release of “Entrance Song”, which propelled his career from local house DJ to global acclaim and gave him the platform to release a string of solo projects on Dirtybird, Hypercolour, and Futureboogie.

Eats Everything has huge pedigree on the festival and club scene, with appearances at venues such as Fabric, Space, Amnesia, and The Warehouse Project standing out as highlights in his illustrious career. As a DJ, Dan has also played at Bestival, Creamfields, Secret Garden, Eastern Electrics and Glastonbury! Top that by touring with Fatboy Slim, you really don’t need any more proof of his pedigree than that, do you?

The first ever resident at London’s XOYO, a gig that lasted 12 weeks, Eats Everything was also named as 2012’s ‘Best British DJ’ by DJ Magazine. On the back of his 2011 rise to fame, Dan was approached by the infamous Pete Tong, who asked him to take part in his popular Essential Mix episodes on BBC Radio 1 – Dan and Pete also went b2b at The Warehouse Project in 2013, a truly unmissable event!

Eats Everything has had a monumental collaboration with music legend Fatboy Slim on the track All The Ladies, released in 2020 on Southern Fried Records. This isn’t the first time that the pair have appeared together, however, with the two DJ’s also performing b2b with each other at Glastonbury Festival, it was no surprise that Fatboy Slim wanted to take him on his UK tour as well.

For the chance to catch one of Eats Everything’s monumental sets, keep your eyes peeled for future tour and festival announcements below:

We catch up with the incredible, and award-winning, Eats Everything – the first-ever resident act at London’s XOYO. He’s regularly at the decks with Fatboy Slim and hits Ibiza with party organiser Elrow too. If you want to know where to catch EATS EVERYTHING live, hit the link to check his tour dates now.
